Greetings All,
I am so sorry for not posting the updates of my new born baby girl Aria Sheza. Ever since she as born on the 18th October 2007 @ 0918 Hrs at KK Children & Women’s Hospital in Singapore, I was pretty busy adjusting myself towards the newest member in my family. She was born at Delivery Suite Bed 29.
In my previous post, I mentioned my wife’s blood pressure is high & there she was induced at 2330 Hrs the day before. I was surprised of how induced was done. The nurse took this special pill called Prostine & inserted it at the entrance of her cervix. Contraction started thereafter & her cervix started to dilate in cm throughout the night. She was jab to make her sleep as we were told that she can only deliver the baby at around 0900 Hrs.
More Pictures below..
She managed to sleep from 0230 – 0530 Hrs. Her contraction is getting more painful every seconds when she woke up. By then, her cervix had already dilated around 5-6 cm. (10 cm is when baby can be delivered). For the next 3 hours, she endure the excruciating painful contractions.
It was amazing to see the whole process of baby delivery from down there. It is definitely an experience for me & my wife Sabariah Sabri. I really admire my wife. She did not take the epidural when giving birth to Sheza. I can see her determination of pushing Sheza out from her womb thru you know what.. Shy to mention that word “Vagina”. Haha. I would say birth canal instead.
However, during the whole process, when Sheza’s head appeared at the entrance of the birth canal, Dr Mariam George just took this small surgeon scissor & did a small cut below the birth canal. Ouch!! Looks painful to me but my wife did not feel it because she is experiencing a more painful contractions. When her cervix dilated to 10cm, she took around 40 minutes of hard & soft push to deliver Sheza out. Finally Sheza was born at 0918 Hrs.
My wife suffer a tear at her birth canal after delivering Sheza. Stitches was done to ensure it patch up like normal. The pain woman go through to have a baby is just too much to be imagine. I really admire all mothers out there in the world.
My wife Sabariah is proud mother & wife. Likewise I am a proud father & husband. As of today, Sheza is suffering from jaundice, a normal sickness for almost all new born babies. It seem that her liver has not start to function yet. The only remedies is to go suntan twice a day. Morning & afternoon sun will cure her jaundice.
Now it is time for pictures!!! Have fun looking at my daughter.. My soo small cute daughter..
